Missed my deal on flea bay.

I waited over 6 months for a single old style gold label Altec 805 horn to come up on ebay.

I checked day in and day our...and finally one did, with a throat and a 288C driver attached....AND I MISSED it....

I didn't bid high enough...then slept through the finally bidding time. Damn. And it went for relatively cheap too. Could have sold the driver and had the horn for a hundred or so...

Oh well. I'll wait some more. I'd really like to match up this horn...and its 288B driver someday.

Hi, I may have what your looking for, I have a extra 805 horn in my storage that is not a 805B it looks exactly the same but feels a little heavier and if I remember correctly the gold decal says "805" all by itself with no letters, I probably won't be able to look until this weekend, but I'll check it out and get back to you if you like, David

Yup! - That's why you have got to enter the highest amount you are willing to pay on the bay! - Then let the proxy bid do its thing.

Another good one that I use is Powersnipe it puts in your bid on average 8 seconds before end of auction has a search on it you list what you are looking for and notify's you when it gets listed.Price is $45.99 a year.

No affiliation - NONE but works good

Yup, that's why I bid late........ actually, I'll bid low early, just to stake my claim. That way it doesn't look like a forgotten auction to everyone else. Then if I really want it, and my max hasn't already been passed, I'll bid again. I've never used a sniping service or software........ I don't really buy much on ebay anymore.

Hello David....that sounds fantastic about the Altec 805 Horn. That is exactly what I'm looking for.

Yeah, shhhh........

I've been on ebay over 10 years. Fast got tired of being sniped. So now I do all my bidding thru a sniper service. It gets the bids in there in the last 5 seconds. Of course I still get outbid, but that is just cause I didn't want to pay that much.
